There is no right time to lose a wanted baby, it’s incredibly sad whenever it happens. About 25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, the vast majority within the first 12 weeks. But women lose babies right up to due date. Sometimes there are reasons, but some women will never know why it happened. Lots of things will be investigated, but that will be of very little consolation.
Women go through a range of emotions when a miscarriage happens. Most do not tell people they are pregnant until their 12-week scan so, psychologically, there is a lot more recovery to be done at these later stages. Kelly needs love from those around her. She should rest, but talk about it with her partner if they want to.
